Ortahisar Village

I set out one morning to capture some of the typical scenes here in Ortahisar. Behind the large mosque, on the main square, the village creeps down into a valley. Some of the homes are occupied but the majority of them are ruins. Everything is built on top of the caves below. Everywhere I look-the architecture, the geology, and the culture-layer upon layer is covering another layer. It is a rich location.

This is not an artist’s trading card but done on A4 (letter sized) paper.
