I have not posted in awhile.\u00a0 Sorry.\u00a0 We have been busy traveling and watching an inn and its resident pets.\u00a0 Time to draw and post has been rare.<\/p>\n

And I have been working on an epic Sabbatical Year comic.\u00a0 It is equal to four regular comics so it is taking a bit to write and draw.\u00a0 It will be posted in conjunction with some of Jocelyn’s writing.\u00a0 It isn’t a collaboration but our personal viewpoint on the same subject.\u00a0 We probably are heading towards a collaboration in the future.\u00a0 This is our first step.<\/p>\n

Today’s drawing is one of my first attempts to use the brush to ink a drawing as opposed to the nib pens I have been using.\u00a0 It certainly has a different feel than a pen and will take some time to get use to the mechanics of inking a drawing.\u00a0 I can see the benefits of both.\u00a0 The pen can be more technical, yet cold, while the brush brings more emotion but lacks the preciseness of the pen.<\/p>\n

The scene above is of the extinct volcano, Erciyes, that dominates the eastern horizon from our house in Ortahisar.\u00a0 We had a warm day last week so I climbed to our roof and sketched this scene.\u00a0 Today it is snowing and the volcano is hidden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
