A hearty thanks to my dad for leaving this book with us after they visited.\u00a0 It is a great read and makes me glad we chose Turkey over the heart of the Amazon.\u00a0 And it has provided nice context for some aspects of our journey.<\/p>\n

As we approach four months in country it is good to take stock of our preparations and see what has been helpful and what was a wild goose chase.\u00a0 Next week I’ll explore the successes and failures.<\/p>\n
