Drawing time has been absent over the last few weeks. We traveled to France and England, doing many touristy things and collapsing each night in a heap only to do more the next day. I was able to take a half-hour at the Louvre to sit, watch people, and sketch the pyramid entrance to this vast museum. It was a wonderful break in a busy and invigorating city.
Since we’ve been back in Turkey it has taken time to get settled but now I am drawing again. I really need dedicated time and space to work. It is another lesson I am learning about how I function as an artist.
A new comic will be up in a few days. Enjoy.
Nice! For some reason it reminds me of those drawings where the artist completes the entire picture without lifting his pen off the paper. I think it’s the outline of the building behind the pyramid. It’s a keeper.
I love the pyramid at the Louvre.
I just love people watching…at the Louvre, or anywhere else. Great drawing!
I like that you’re holding hands with J. I’m also pretty envious of your ability to mix drawing with story-telling and humour.
Thanks for the nice compliment, Deborah. Even though the couple in the picture isn’t us I like that you imagined it being the two of us. We did hold hands at the Louvre I am pretty sure…
oh i imagine that must be a very interesting place to people watch given how many cultures must be represented among the visitors.
